Vesak Festival

 Vesak is the most the important religious festival to buddhist . It's in the month of may every year. It marks three important events in the life of Loard Buddha . They are the birth the Enlightenment  and the passing away of the Loard Buddha .We observe sil on this day.We also listen to sermons and other religious talks. We decorations the students of Dhamma school sing devotional songs on this day.Devotees  erect beautiful panels  for the vesak festival . Also we illuminate our houses with colourful bulbs . As Buddhist we are very happy on this day.

 My name is Tharushi Nimeshika. I live in Kekirawa and I'm 23 years old. I have one sister. She is a teacher. My mother is Vijitha Mallika and she is a house wife . My father is Y.G Premarathna. He is a driver. I went to Dambullu Halmillawewa school in Kekirawa and studied Art for my Advanced Level exam. I study at University of Visual and Performing Arts.
